  Diploma in Hairstyling (Leading to City & Guilds Diploma)


As a follow-up to the Certificate in Hairstyling Course, the Diploma course will strengthen your skills with advanced techniques in cutting, perming, colouring and styling.

The Diploma Course comprises of 4 modules. Upon graduation, take your pick of endless work opportunities as a Qualified Hairstylist and an exciting and glamorous career is yours to have.

You will have plenty of opportunities to practice with live models and become accomplished at every advanced skill. Instructors are there to professionally guide your progress but will also allow ample opportunity for you to experiment with an array of styles and develop your signature flair.

Course commence first Monday of every month.

Entry Requirement

Course participants should be at least 16 years old of age and must have completed Certificate in Hairdressing Course.

Graduation Requirement

Student must complete all 4 modules with at least 80% in attendance for each module.

International Students

International students must apply for 2 months student pass and 4 months training pass for this course. Prevailing Training Pass Levy applies ($450 per month, correct as at 1st July 2010).

For International Students on student pass, in the event that any of the following occurs, the school will inform ICA of the student's attendance:

  • the student has failed to attend classes for a continuous period of 7
    days or more without any valid reason; or
  • the student has not attended classes regularly, i.e. where the percent
    age of attendance is 90% or lower in any month of the course without
    any valid reason.
  • the student’s studies in the school has been terminated.

Course Awards

Upon meeting all Graduation Requirements, you will graduate with a Diploma in Hairstyling by Kimage Hairdressing School.

Upon passing the City & Guilds Examinations, you will receive the Diploma Awards in Hairdressing (English) 1122 or the Diploma Awards in Hairdressing (Chinese) 8122 by City & Guilds depending on the medium of paper which you sit for.

720 hours

  • Full Time – 6 months
  • Part Time – 12months

  • Full Time Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm
  • Part Time Monday to Friday
    10am to 1pm / 2pm to 5pm / 6pm to 9pm (choice of sessions)

    • Second Payment (7 days before the fourth month) - $3638.00 (incl 7% GST)
  • Part Time:
    • First Payment (First day of class) – $3638.00 (incl 7% GST)
    • Second Payment (7 days before the seventh month) - $3638.00 (incl 7% GST)
